Come and experience Finland’s diverse nature in Haltia Nature Centre, only a 45 min drive from the center of Helsinki.

Meet your guide and driver and begin your drive to the Nature Centre Haltia in Nuuksio National Park. Haltia is a new type of visitor Centre, opened in May 2013, bringing all of Finland’s nature closer to the visitor through both the building’s facilities and its stunning exhibitions. Nature from all over Finland can now be experienced without leaving the Helsinki region.

When arriving at Haltia you begin your visit with an approximately 1 hour guided tour of the premises and the exhibition. The Centre signals a new era in wood building, for it is the first public building in Finland built entirely of wood. The main exhibition offers a comprehensive nature experience. You will experience the beauty and magic of the four seasons in all their glory and get a taste of nature’s power of creation with a touch of Finnish mythology. Enjoy some free time to browse around, or pop into the cafe for a nice cup of coffee.

After the Haltia visit your guide will lead you for a walk along easy trails and get acquainted with the typical features of the park. Nuuksio National Park is a unique natural treasure next to the urban habitation, characterized by rugged hills, steep gorges and deep lakes formed by the ice age. After the walk enjoy a leisurely drive back to Helsinki.
